The Plot Against America – Philip Roth

According to a review in The New York Times by Paul Berman, The Plot Against America is “a fable of an alternative universe, in which America has gone fascist and ordinary life has been flattened under a steamroller of national politics and mass hatreds.” In the novel, Lindbergh is elected president “[a]ll hell ultimately breaks loose” (Berman).
